About

My first interest in photography is China. I have lived and worked in China for more than 12 years. My second interest is Nature photography. I am constantly amazed at the beauty and wonder of the natural world and as such am in favor of protecting it, preserving it and promoting it. I believe that we as a people are too hasty to destroy the natural world around us; all in the name of development.

As a child I spent countless hours out of doors wandering through the woods, climbing trees and marveling at the beauty of it all. When I was about 16 my Dad took me deer hunting in southern Utah. I was carrying an old 30-30 and as I walked down the mountainside through the sagebrush, I wished that I had a camera and a 300 mm lens. I made an important decision that day. I decided that I was only going to hunt with a camera. I never shot a deer with a gun, but I have shot a lot with my camera.
